Build Your Own Escape Room

Learn to build your own escape game from the ground up.  Start by examining different levels of escape rooms, then collect ideas for your own room based on your favorite fandom themes and create your backstory and game goals.  Determine the most practical approach to creating your own room based on your space and supplies, and brainstorm about immersive elements.  Review the five major types of codes, learn to create one of each type, and choose a variety of puzzles for your room that support your theme. Determine the props you'll need and whether you can make or buy them (and where).  Learn what makes a good game, how to balance your puzzles and set the pace of your game.  Create a flowchart of your gameplay, then test for durability, player workarounds, clear clue-ing, and timing.
